We had a fun day celebrating Kinsey's 3rd birthday with family and friends. She requested a Dora birthday complete with sash and "Birthday Girl" crown. She has been very into Fancy Nancy and Pinkalicious books lately . . . so "accessories" were important as well as "pink cupcakes". So we had BOTH! I think she was secretly hoping she would actually turn pink from eating all of her pink birthday cupcakes like Pinkalicious!!
Our church had a family trip to Glorify God Pumpkin Patch this evening. It was a lot of fun and the weather was beautiful (80s). Kinsey painted and glittered a pumpkin . . . Jackson was too busy to paint his. Instead he wanted to climb over the hay bales with his friends . . . over and over!! We let the pumpkins dry while we went on a hayride and then through the 7 acre corn maze. Kinsey led the way part of the time, clapping and twirling as she "collected" all the ears of corn that had fallen on the ground . . . she kept insisting that it was for "Jackson's collection" as she filled the bottom of the stroller with them! As we were leaving the corn maze, she says to our Children's Minister, "Mr. Casey, there is a LOT of corn in here!!" Gee, she can be the Master of the Obvious some days . . . it definitely got a good laugh!!

My parent's came down to celebrate my 30th birthday and visit us before they leave for my sister's in FL the end of the week. We enjoyed a fun morning at the Apple Fest held at the orchard just a short drive from our house.

Our MOPS (Mother's of Preschoolers) group had a playdate at Marlow's Pumpkin Patch this past Thursday. It was a beautiful day and a lot of fun!!

We got to take a pirate ship hayride, explore a corn maze, pet some farm animals, play on the playground, and pick out our pumpkins. There was also a small haunted house, but Jackson was too scared to hardly take a step inside, so we skipped that one!
