Backyard Fun

Our Week

We have really enjoyed being able to get outside this week. Lots of walks in the wagon and stroller, playing at the park and in the backyard, and even going to the pool. Kinsey LOVED the pool! She just floated around and didn't mind that the water was a little cool. Jackson did NOT want to get in the big pool. So he played with some toys in the baby pool, until right before it was time to leave. Then he finally decided he wanted to swim in the big pool (maybe a stall tactic, but oh well). David was so excited so we let him jump in and swim around for a few more minutes. He wears a swim vest and an inter tube, so he was swimming around everywhere and didn't want to leave! Surprise, surprise! Hopefully it won't take so long for him to warm up next time! (Which we hope will be again VERY soon!)
We also had some friends over tonight for dinner (Craig, Cheryl and Kiley). Kiley and Jackson loved chasing bubbles and playing in our fountain. They were both SOAKED and worn out by the end of the night!

Memorial Day

We headed back down to TH for the holiday. It was a little cool for the kiddie pool, so Papa lowered the temp on the hot tub. It was a HIT! Kinsey and Blake didn't get in on the swimming, but they still had a fun time with each other.

We visited with Great-Grandma and Grandpa Jackson on Sunday night and went over to see Great-Grandma Mary on Monday morning.

Such a happy boy! It is crazy to think that Blake will be 1 already on the 5th! It was so funny listening to him crack himself up . . . . and he is getting so fast at crawling. He could walk if he really wanted to, but he can get everywhere faster crawling so he doesn't bother with it.

Visit from Grandma & Grandpa Jarrett

David's parents were able to make a trip to Illinois to visit this past week. They got to meet two new grand-babies, Kinsey and Luke. Here they are with all of the IL grandkids Sunday after lunch.

We spent a little time in TH at Karen's too. Jackson loved playing with Nathanael and Josiah. So cute cheesing for the camera!

First Bite of Squash

Kinsey had her first bite of squash last Monday. As you can see, she wasn't quite sure about it. But after a little bit, she starting leaning forward for each spoonful.

Kinsey Grace-6 Months (Part 2)

Kinsey had her 6 month pictures taken. As you can see, they turned out GREAT!

She also went to the doctor this afternoon. Kinsey is 27.5 inches (over 90%) and 14 1/2 lbs. (around 40%).

Have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!

Kinsey Grace-6 Months

Kinsey Grace is 6 months old today! How is that possible? She is already 1/2 a year old!

We go for 6 month pictures and well-baby check up on Friday. We'll report stats then . . . I'm anxious to see how big she has gotten in the last 2 months.

And we will be starting cereal soon too, so we will have more interesting expressions to show. I know, I know, she is already 6 months and I haven't given her cereal! The doctor said I could wait until 6 months and so I decided that sounded good (and easier), so I held off.

J-A-C-K-S-O-N Song

David has been singing this song to Jackson to help him learn to spell his name. Well, tonight he sang it back to him! So, of course, we had to have him do it for the camera : ) Enjoy!

A Great Week

SHHH! Don't tell. . . . her brother doesn't know that she really likes his cars : ) Well really she likes anything she can scoot or roll to AND get in her mouth! She's not picky!

Jackson has been asking to play the "pinano" all week. It is SO cute . . . . he asks you to sit next to him and play along. And points out things and wants you to make up songs about them. . . . "sing a song about that girl in the picture". Daddy is much better at this game, naturally! : )

It won't be long . . . .

until she is crawling . . . . Kinsey has really been working at scooting and turning different directions to get to things. If she can just get her hands and arms involved : ) You'll understand when you watch . . . .
