Kayleigh Faith-6 Month Stats
Kayleigh went to her 6 month well baby check up this morning. She is 14 lbs, 1 oz (25 %) and 27 1/2 inches (95%). We are taking her for 6 month pictures tomorrow at Portrait Innovations (anxious to try this place out . . . they have a GREAT deal, so we'll see) and then for her shots on Thursday morning at the health department. What a busy girl! : ) Oh and I have to post a new video I took of her on Sunday night . . . she is starting to make all kinds of different sounds . . . very fun! And here she is almost sitting up . . . she still uses her arm to kind of help her, but she is REALLY close!

Kayleigh Faith - 6 Months
Me oh my, how could Kayleigh be 1/2 a year old already . . . . we go to the doctor on Tuesday for her 6 mo. well baby check and 6 month pictures. We'll have more to report after that appointment and will most certainly start solids at that point. So there will be a whole new world for her to discover then. I think her brother and sister will find it just as exciting watching her try new things!! Should be fun!!

Jackson on his bike
Toy Story 3
We have been spending this week at my parent's house while Dave is leading worship at camp. On Sunday afternoon, we all went to see Toy Story 3 (except Kayleigh . . . she was with a babysitter). They had cut outs of Buzz Lightyear and Woody, so of course we had to stop and take a couple pictures. The kids did really well during the movie and really liked it. Afterward, Jackson was worried that when he had his next birthday and got big that he would have to give away all of his toys (he was particularly concerned about his cars). Kinsey just kept telling us that "Jesse held hands so she could be safe."

Prayers . . .
My grandpa (Jim Jackson) went in to the hospital this past Thursday (7/15), for what we thought would be a fairly routine heart cath. He had been having some tightening in his chest, but didn't realize the extent of what would be found. After his heart cath, the doctor found significant blockages and so he underwent open heart surgery the next morning (7/16). The doctors weren't sure on the number of bypasses until they got started . . . he ended up needing 6!! He is doing well and will be in the hospital 4-5 days to recover. Please keep him and my grandma in your prayers.
Go Cardinals!
We had the opportunity to go to a Cardinals game on Friday night at Busch Stadium. Always a fun time, especially when you have GREAT free seats! Thanks Mom and Dad for sharing the love! We were all a little hot and sticky by the end (reference our family photo op from the end of the game).
We also came home with a Busch Stadium Build a Bear for Kayleigh, a family tradition we did with the other two on their first visit to the stadium. We had fun and the Cardinals won . . . so all in all a wonderful way to spend a Friday evening!

A Date with Jackson
I (Kristin) took Jackson to a performance of Treasure Island at our local Community Theater. Dave actually won FREE tickets on the radio, so it was perfect! They are doing Cinderella later this summer, so I'm hoping it will work for Dave to take Kinsey to that one. We are trying to be more intentional about doing special things one on one with our kids (and to switch up which parent goes with them). So today was my date with Jackson . . . he sat on my lap (so he could see) and was a perfect patron. We went out for an ice cream cone afterward (or in his case a Starkiss). It was fun getting to spend time with just him. He is growing up TOO fast . . . at his appointment on Thursday (7/8) he was 45 1/4 inches and 44 1/2 lbs.

4th of July
Happy Birthday America!
With the 4th of July falling on a Sunday, we got to celebrate for a couple of days. We went up to spend a couple of days with my parents and took in a parade, cookouts and fireworks at a neighbor's house. During the parade, Jackson enjoyed matching all of the classic cars with the characters from "Cars" movie. Between picking up pieces of candy, Kinsey was covering her ears from all the noisy sirens. At fireworks later that night, Kayleigh LOVED them! She didn't fuss a bit! Kinsey on the other hand . . . well, she covered her ears and then her eyes. I finally got her to just cover her ears and enjoy watching the rest of the fireworks. After they were done, Kinsey kept saying, "Those were AMAZING!!!"
