Dave Shot Bambi
Here is a picture of Dave with his VERY 1st deer! He got it on Saturday morning . . . 8 pt. buck (FYI: Here in IL we count all of the antlers, not just one side like in CO!). He was very excited as you might imagine! Now I just need some good deer meat recipes, so it doesn't taste like deer . . . anyone have any they would like to share?

I thought the best part of the story was when Dave said, "And I didn't even throw up when we field dressed it!!"
One good thing that we always have done with the deer meat is... Have the butcher put liquid smoke in it when he mixes it. Or you can even add it to the meat when you are cooking it.
