Waterslide
Jackson enjoying our "homemade waterslide" this morning! We put a hose down the slide with the blow up pool at the bottom (as you will see). Kinsey didn't want to even try it . . . I made her go down once and she pretty much hated it! So she sat in a lawn chair, sipping her drink and watching Jackson have fun! Oh well!!!

A Day at Forbes
Papa brought down his boat again so the boys could go fishing at Forbes Lake. Kinsey, Kayleigh and I joined them for lunch at The Leaky Bucket. And then Papa took Kinsey on her 1st boat ride around part of the lake. She wasn't sure about it at first, but was all smiles when she got back. It was a beautiful day!

Air Guitar Hall of Fame
You're going to want to watch this video of Jackson from this morning . . . hilarious!!
Kayleigh Faith - 4 Month Pics
Kayleigh went to her 4 month well check today and got her pictures taken! Here are the raw images from their website . . .the finished ones are cropped more (i.e. you can't see my lovely green shirt). Kayleigh was 13 lbs (50%) and 25 1/2 inches (95%). He was very impressed with her muscle tone and how she was growing. We are going to hold off spoon feeding her until closer to 6 months, unless she grows dissatisfied with solely nursing.

Kayleigh the Chatterbox
Kayleigh was quite the chatterbox today . . . she was "talking" like CRAZY! Here is a little video of one of her "chatting" sessions this afternoon. If you look really close you can see her two little teeth sticking out on the bottom. And if you listen really close, you can hear a Kinsey meltdown in the living room . . . lovely!

FFA Petting Zoo
The FFA Department at the high school puts on a petting zoo every year. Jackson's preschool class visited it again this year and invited the parents and siblings to come along. Kinsey and Jackson had a great time climbing on the tractors and petting all of the farm animals. It was a fun little trip . . . except Kinsey kept asking when we were going to go to the "big zoo".

Kayleigh--16 weeks UPDATE
So I said Kayleigh was really close to rolling from her back to her belly . . . . well, when I was changing her diaper and putting on her pjs tonight she did, twice! And then when I got out the camera to video tape her doing it . . . she couldn't quite make it! So here is the video of her "almost" rolling over!
Kayleigh Faith - 16 weeks
Where oh where is the time going? I can't believe Kayleigh will be 4 months old next week!!! She got her shots on Monday at the health department and she did really well with them. And then Tuesday she cut her 2nd tooth! Kayleigh goes in for her 4 month well-baby visit on Tuesday morning and I'm hoping to get her 4 month pictures taken then too! She rolls from her tummy to her back in the crib all the time . . . making her nap times tricky sometimes as she rolls over and can't go back to sleep. I think she is getting closer to rolling back to her belly because she can REALLY crane herself around when she is on her back and tries to push off with her feet. Just not enough momentum to actually roll yet! She continues to be pretty laid back and go with the flow despite all the squishing, poking and over-loving she gets from her brother and sister. And she is so great on her eating/sleeping schedule . . . I have only been feeding her 4 times a day for a few weeks and she sleeps tremendously well (especially for her afternoon nap and overnight). I am so thankful that she is spoiling us!!
A few pictures from our house this morning . . . Kayleigh loves this little baby gym, though sometimes it can be dangerous for her since the other kids like to play with the toys while she is laying under it! Kinsey LOVES talking on the phone . . . and Jackson is VERY proud of his new Spiderman net. He can't wait to go fishing again with minnows so he can scoop them up with it! In the meantime, he has been catching all kinds of other things with it! : )

Today's Headlines: Kayleigh cut her 2nd tooth!
Yep, you read that right . . . our sweet little 3 month old has just cut her 2nd tooth today! As crazy as it sounds, it is TRUE! Both of her teeth are on the bottom. She has done remarkable well and except for some drooling and her wanting her hands in her mouth a little more than normal, you really wouldn't know. I wonder when the next one will pop through . . .
Dance Party
Jackson and Kinsey were really performing for me tonight after supper. Jackson's new favorite song right now is Promised Land by Fee, so he put on quite a show dancing to it (his old fav is Everlasting God). Kinsey's favorite is Mighty to Save, so she was dancing and singing too! I don't know where they got these dance moves, but WOW! That is all I can say : ) We'll be saving these videos for extreme embarrassment in about 10+ years! LOL!

Our Family by Jackson Jarrett
Our Little Man--Jackson Isaiah
Jackson has grown up so much this past year! He is a great helper and really enjoys helping and doing whatever Daddy and Mommy are doing. He loves being just like Daddy and toasting the marshmallows for us over the fire pit . . .he is so patient and careful to perfectly toast them. He has really taken to fishing even more this spring. The boys went fishing again on Papa's boat at Forbes this morning and he was all over bating his hook with the minnows and casting. And is he ever a boy . . . when we got home, Papa poured the bucket of minnows in the little ditch at the end of the drive way. Jackson spent the better part of the afternoon out there catching those squirming little minnows and putting them in a little bottle of water. He had that bottle full to the top with them! He got right down by it and was giving them all silly names and when he came in he said, "I gave them all kisses!" Apparently, something he learned from Papa when they went fishing this morning . . . since he was giving the little fish they didn't keep a little kiss before sending them back out in the lake! What a special boy he is growing up to be!
Funny Conversations with Jackson:
5.3.10: After a very interesting conversation with Jackson about the devil and hell this morning . . . it ended with him telling me, "when I get big like Daddy, I am going to have Jesus in my heart and drive a monster truck. That will really make God laugh!"
4.15.10: Jackson and I were swinging in the backyard and he said, "Mom, I'm swinging so high, if I slingshot myself way up in the sky, I can see God and Jesus!" We were also trying to find things in the clouds and he says, "Look it is a kitty cat dancing for Jesus!"
4.7.10: We just heard thunder and Jackson says to Kayleigh, "Don't worry, I'll protect you. The storm is outside and we are on the inside. It's ok, I'm your big brother!" I think he was also reassuring himself, because it was then followed by, "I'm going to pray that God would make the storm go away!"
4.6.10: After reading "Love You Forever" to Jackson . . . he says to me, "Mommy, I don't want to marry a girl when I grow up big like Daddy . . . I don't like girls!"

Our Little Princess--Kinsey Grace
Kinsey has always been our expressive and very independent little princess! Her mood can yo-yo from one extreme to the other and back again. And she knows exactly what she wants and has no trouble letting you know. One look into her beautiful blue eyes and you forget it all! Here are a few of the many looks and faces of our mostly sweet and always beautiful little princess . . . Kinsey Grace.
